New Champagne Brands To Have On Your Radar
A good glass of champagne brightens any celebration.
By definition the very taste of luxury, we all enjoy indulging in these delicious bubbles. We all know the classic brands, but here at LIDO, we have been hard at work unearthing newer brands that are just as wonderful as those of the “old guard”. Indeed, a new generation of wine growers have been making waves in the champagne landscape. We are excited to share with you our top three!

Founded in 2007, by three friends, Charles Legend is a fantastic addition to any cave. This champagne is low in sugar and sulphites, which means that its shelf life is limited. However, the low sulphites also mean that your risk of a hangover is limited.
They have worked hard to create an elegant champagne that maintains the rigorous criteria of a traditional champagne, while also being more affordable and so accessible to a new generation of champagne drinkers.
Aurora Casanova was a prima ballerina until she gave it all up in 2011, to give herself to her other passion: wine growing! Having learnt from her mother who planted the vines, Aurora has strived to grow a grape that is respectful of the environment, using no herbicides or insecticides. Her approach is focused on sustainability, and her approach is based on biodynamic viticulture.
Headed by Edouard Roy, EPC Champagne was born from a small cooperative set up by Edouard’s grandfather in 1967. In 2018, Edouard associated himself with two friends to bring the champagne to a new level, and to change what they felt was an old and stuffy image of champagne. Gone are the flutes, traditionally used to drink champagne, and instead the EPC team suggests drinking from “blidas”, which are the glasses historically used in champagne.
